The Moveable Feast: new suggestions?

It seems indisputable that having unique perspectives is interesting; even more so than the contrary. If everyone shared perspectives, we would become bored. But it also seems like a double edged sword. For everyone to be unique, everyone must also be a little alone. Because we all hold our own personal history and chemical makeup, we are truly isolated, and while it would be boring to wish otherwise, it leads us to cherish the small amount of shared perspective we foster. Finding someone who speaks your language, and knows your heart, is rare and lovely. Soul mates, as they say. But what if soul mates were in unique situations, and couldn't share? Their perspectives would change, as their experiences do, and they'd see the same things differently based on the tools they were given to interperet those things.

A. lives in Manchester, England, where she studies studiously in the snow. She moved there alone after living, studying, and traveling with her steadfast partner. Now he is in an un-maped village Africa, and has to stand on an anthill to get reception to converse with her.

C. lives in San Francisco, California, where she works diligently to keep her jaw unclenched. She moved there with her love after living alone for a year and teaching herself to be a hermit. Hers is a story which is new and ever present.

They've uprooted their lives and replanted them in two different continents. Even though their situations are starkly contrasted, their hearts and intentions are the same. Their themes mirror each other- crossing goals off lists, self exploration through deprivation of their own personal norm. Their quest is paralelled, their results are different.We'd like to examine how the same theme can produce different results. Each week, we'll choose a theme to photograph. We'll document the same thing in two different ways. Guest photographers are welcome, and we will post any submissions for the weekly theme along with our posts and your location. Suggestions for weekly themes are welcome as well.This is how we share our lives.
